Kimber KDS9c Rail Gray Optic Ready 9mm Pistol with 15+1 and 18+1 Round Magazines
What happens when you combine a highly shootable handgun with modern materials, advanced manufacturing, and double the capacity? You get the Kimber KDS9c Rail Gray Pistol. This 9mm handgun has the handling and shooting of a Model 1911 and the features of a modern defensive handgun. This is a powerful combination for a handgun.
The KDS9c Rail Gray Optic Ready 9mm Pistol from Kimber represents the next evolution in this popular lineup. The Kimber KDS9c features a striking KimPro Gray frame, KimPro Gray slide, and Black crosshatched grips creating a clean 1911 look with a modern configuration.
At its heart, the KDS9c merges a 1911-style top-end and controls with a double-stack frame. To address this, Kimber engineers opted for aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum to construct the frame.
Machined from billet, this material provides rigidity and durability while minimizing weight. The frame draws design inspiration from the Model 1911, including an upswept beavertail and no grip safety.
Consequently, there are no moving parts in this area. The frame is enlarged to accommodate the 15-round dual-column magazine, yet it remains only slightly wider than a 1911's frame, thanks to thin grip panels.
With an ambidextrous safety and a picatinny rail, the Kimber KDS9c Rail includes all the features you desire in a cutting-edge concealed carry firearm. The barrel is fully fluted, crowned, and ramped, and our unique bore sizing process ensures match-grade accuracy with every shot.
The 7075 aluminum frame boasts extreme tensile strength, ductility, toughness, and fatigue resistance. It is designed for comfort and ease of use. The frame has serrations that wrap around the front strap and grips. The reversible magazine release offers ultimate flexibility for both left and right-handed shooters.
The decrease in weight from similar gun models usually results in more felt recoil. This is not the case with the Kimber KDS9c Rail. The handgun's rail has been increase to be farther forward resulting in more weight at the front even though the gun is lighter overall. The added accuracy is felt on the range and in the hand.
The KDS9c Rail comes standard with a crisp 3.5-4.5 lb trigger pull and includes one 15-round and one 18-round magazine, establishing it as the leading personal protection platform that enhances your ability to defend yourself in any situation.
