Chambered for the popular and economical .22lr cartridge, the SU22 series is designed for beginners, target shooting, plinking or small game hunting and accepts most AR-22 magazines. Models differ mainly in forend and stock.
A standalone firearm and not a conversion, the SU22 series is based on its big brothers, the SU16 series of rifles, and shares many of their characteristics. The SU22 series is an excellent choice for that beginner in your family.
The SU-22 operates by blow back action and has a 4140 steel bolt that rides on steel guide rails inside the polymer receiver. The ejector is attached to one of the guide rails and the recoil spring is located above the barrel.
The rear sight is adjustable for windage and the front sight is adjustable for elevation. An integrated picatinny rail on top will accept a multitude of sighting options.
The muzzle end of the barrel is threaded 1/2"-28 to accept standard attachments such as a muzzle brake. A 26 round semi-transparent magazine is included.

Its smooth action combined with intuitive controls also makes it ideal for learning the fundamentals of weapon manipulation and safety.
Modular
Out of the box, the SU22 offers the same magazine storage stock as the SU16 and a compact forend with Picatinny-style rail as a standard. The stock/grip assembly is compatible with any of the SU16 models. It also comes with adjustable iron sights over a 16″, threaded barrel and a Picatinny style top rail for mounting your favorite optic.
Accurate
What good is a .22lr if you can’t hit what you’re aiming at? The SU22 comes out of the box with adjustable iron sights and a Picatinny-style rail built into the receiver for mounting your favorite optic.
