Side Thumb Safety.
Grip Safety Equipped.
The thumb safety is located on the left rear of the pistol just below the side. The grip safety is located on the upper rear part of the frame. It is automatically applied by spring action to prevent rearward travel of the trigger unless the pistol grip is firmly and properly grasped. The front of the grip safety, which is inside the pistol frame, is in contact with the rear of the trigger to prevent its rearward travel. When the pistol grip is positively grasped, the grip safety is rotated out of contact with the rear of trigger to allow trigger movement.
