The Kaviar Fragmenting Slug features a molded, clear plastic construction embedded with lead shot pellets, a round nose ogive with a sharp shoulder for a reliable break up on impact, and a polyethylene base wad that seals hot powder gasses.
The frangible design reduces the potential for over-penetration and ricochet, while the soft lead shot pellets produce lightweight fragments and reduce back splatter. It is suitable for both smoothbore and rifled barrels and is safe for all chokes.
